Starting school is a particularly anxious time for parents of young children with life threatening allergies. Also, for older children, moving to a new school brings with it the issue of making new teachers, friends and canteen staff aware of their allergy. This is at a time when they are likely to be more self conscious as well as having the added the problem of becoming responsible for their own medication.
